"Dammit! He's unorthodox, but he gets results!" A light-hearted look at Luther.

So, I've watched several episodes of Luther. I'm not through the whole thing yet, but this is what I've learned about the structure and content of what I've seen so far. So, here it is, a typical episode of Luther.

1. Luther chases down a criminal. He employs violent unorthodox methods to capture or injure them.

2. Luther's superiors are not happy, they suspect he's a bent copper. "Dammit!" says Luther's boss, "He's unorthodox, but he gets results!"

3. There's a weird murder. Luther is on the case.

4. The police are baffled, but Luther makes some accurate predications about the killer's mental profile.

5. Luther meets Alice. There's lots of weird sexual tension. Will they, won't they?

6. There's another weird murder, which often involves someone Luther know or loves. Luther is first on the scene. He almost catches the killer, but they escape. Luther cries a lot. He's lost so much.

7. The police arrive and suspect Luther of the murder. Luther has to go on the run!

8. Luther's superiors are not happy, they knew he was bent. "Dammit!" says Luther's boss, "He's unorthodox, but he gets results, he's not bent."

9. Luther is being hidden by Alice. There's lots of weird sexual tension, will they, won't they? Luther and Alice hatch a plan to catch the killer.

10. The police can't find Luther. Luther's superiors are frustrated. "Dammit!" says Luther's boss, "He's unorthodox, but he gets results!"

11. Luther and Alice catch the killer, Alice disappears again. The police realize Luther wasn't the murderer. Everything is ok again.

12. Luther's superiors are not happy they were wrong about him. . "Dammit!", says Luther's boss, "He's unorthodox, but he gets results, he's not bent."

13. Luther meets Alice on a bridge. There's lots of weird sexual tension. Will they, won't they?

14. Luther walks away into the distance. He turns up the collar on his coat, some moody music plays us out.
